What are the criteria for Sunbeam intervention?

If a child belongs to a lower income group i.e. the family income is not more than Rs. 4000 p.m. (with 4-6 members per family), and if that child is in need for an opportunity for formal education, then he or she is taken on by Sunbeam.

When you say formal education, is it as per the school syllabus?

Yes, the teaching at Sunbeam centres is geared towards integrating the child into the formal schooling system.

Is Sunbeam a registered trust?

Yes, Sunbeam is registered under the Bombay Public Charitable Trust Act, 1950. The Public Charitable Trust Registration Number is E18441.

Are donations to Sunbeam tax exempt?

Yes, all donations are eligible for 50% tax exemption under Section 80G of the I.T. Act.

Is Sunbeam registered under Section 12 A of the IT Act?

Yes, Regn. No. TR/34704.

Are you registered to receive foreign funding.

Yes, Sunbeam is registered under FCRA - 083780950. Nature of registration: Educational Social.
